B LEAGUE CUP SEMIFINALS - GAME 2

Sunday night saw the top 4 B League teams battle out the Semifinals to determine who would go through to this years B League Cup Final.

SF Game 2 - Voodoo 3 vs Wolves 0

Game 2 was also a repeat of the last cup round for these 2 teams where the Wolves won 5 - 3. The Voodoo would have an uphill battle on there hands as Wolves had dominated all of this years games vs Voodoo and it would be a real upset to knock out the Wolves who where 2013 & 2014 Champions looking to get back into there 3rd final.

1st Period 
Both teams started strong looking to gain the early advantage in the 1st but again it would be the goalies Wolves - Ryan Langford & Voodoo - Lochlyn Hyde stamping there mark on the game. With both goalies having contrasting styles there was at times some acrobatic saves which kept the game locked up at 0 - 0 

2nd Period 
Voodoo #8 Jovan Miadenovski opened the scoring early in the 2nd to give his team a 1 - 0 lead. A few minutes later there was a goal crease scramble which saw Voodoo miss a great opporuntity to put a 2nd goal into an open net but no success. Against the run of play late in the 2nd #3 Rachel Park's solo effort turned the tables and Voodoo had a 2 - 0 lead to be in a strong position at the end of the 2nd.

3rd Period
Wolves came out stronger of the 2 teams looking to cut into the Voodoo lead and take control of the game. A couple of reactionary saves from Voodoo Lochlyn Hyde and shot off the bar was as close as Wolves would get to scoring in the 3rd & Voodoo #18 Melissa Sullivan scored late in the 3rd to take away any hope of Wolves making there 3rd final in a row.

Again another great game to watch , well done Voodoo & good luck for the Cup Final
